OUR STORY

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, the streets were always filled with a cornucopia of cultures and the smells of international cuisine.  Our meals at home were usually influenced by the culinary history of the neighbors we befriended and came to love.  As a young adult, I traveled as much as I could and even lived abroad where I had the chance to experience some of those cultures firsthand.  I made lots of friends who I laughed & cried with over some of the best scratch-made, comfort food in the world.  So, the idea of offering comfort food on a buttermilk biscuit came organically while living in the small town of Mount Vernon Ohio, in 2015.  Boujie Biscuit (originally named, 'Build-A-Biscuit') was created out of passion for food & culture, real ingredients and the desire to feed people.  I decided to use a biscuit as a vehicle to introduce different flavors from around the globe to the people of that city using high quality ingredients. In 2017, I relocated the restaurant to Franklin, Indiana.  One year later (2018), we took it to Louisville, KY where my biscuits and I experienced the amazing love of the south and fed many from far and near.

2020 changed us all and it forced me to look at my business with a different set of eyes.  After a challenging year, I decided to make few necessary changes, one of which was a bigger & better equipped location.  After searching far and wide, I decided to move back to Indianapolis, IN to the Historic Irvington community to be more central to all of the customers that have come to love us, thus far, from Ohio to Kentucky.

There's nothing more satisfying than feeding someone a great meal that takes them back to their 'days of old'. We're hoping that people will continue to come from all over the country (and sometimes the world) to eat our scratch-made, buttermilk, biscuit dishes, sides and home-made drinks knowing that they'll be greeted with a smile and fed with love!

We look forward to feeding you soon!
